The FOD8163 series is a 3.3 V/5 V high-speed logic gate optocoupler with open collector output that supports isolated communication, enabling digital signals to be communicated between systems without conducting ground loops or hazardous voltages. The FOD8163 series utilizes tensile body encapsulation to achieve 8 mm creepage and spacing (FOD8163T) and optimized IC design for reliable high isolation voltage and high noise immunity. The FOD8163 series consists of Aluminum Gallium Arsenide (AlGaAs) Light Emitting Diodes with integrated high speed photodetectors. The output of the sense IC is an open-collector Schottky clamp transistor. Its electrical and switching characteristics are guaranteed over the extended industrial temperature range of -40°C to 100°C and a VCC range of 3 V to 5.5 V.

The MOC301XM and MOC302XM series are opto-isolated triac driver devices. These devices include GaAs infrared light-emitting diodes and light-activated silicon bidirectional switches that function like triacs. Suitable for the interface between electronic control and power triacs, these devices control resistive and inductive loads operating at 115 VAC.
