The FOD420, FOD4208, FOD4216, and FOD4218 devices consist of an infrared light-emitting diode coupled to a hybrid random-phase triac consisting of two antiparallel SCRs with a triac capable of driving a discrete triac. terminal triac function. The FOD4216 and FOD4218 use energy-efficient infrared LEDs for higher trigger sensitivity. These devices use a standard 6-pin dual-inline plug-in (DIP) encapsulation.

The FOD8480 and FOD8482 are low-power optocouplers that support isolated interfaces for Intelligent Power Modules (IPMs), transferring digital control signals from the controller to the IPM without conducting ground loops or hazardous voltages. The FOD848x family is a stretched body, 6-pin small plastic enclosure containing a gallium aluminum arsenide (AlGaAs) light emitting diode and an integrated high gain integrated high gain photodetector. The detector has a detector threshold with hysteresis. Hysteresis provides differential mode noise immunity, eliminating the possibility of output signal chatter. Its non-inverting output is designed as a totem pole and does not require any pull-up resistors. The FOD8482 has a low threshold input current IFLH of 3.0 mA maximum. The electrical and switching characteristics of the full FOD848x family are guaranteed over the extended industrial temperature range of -40°C to 100°C and a VDD range of 4.5 V to 30 V. Low IF and wide VDD range, compatible with TTL, LSTTL, and CMOS logic levels, and lower power consumption than other high-speed optocouplers.

The MOC303XM and MOC304XM devices consist of an AlGaAs infrared light-emitting diode optically coupled to a monolithic silicon detector, performing the function of a zero voltage crossing double-sided triple driver. These devices are suitable for triacs in logic system interfaces of equipment powered from the 115V AC line, such as teletypewriters, CTRs, solid state relays, industrial controls, printers, motors, solenoid valves, and consumer equipment.
