The FSUSB30 is a low power, two port, high speed USB2.0 switch. It is configured as a double pole double throw (DPDT) switch and is suitable for switching between two high speed (480Mbps) sources or high speed and full speed (12Mbps) sources. The FSUSB30 is USB2.0 compliant with a very low on-capacitance (CON) of 3.7pF. The device's wide bandwidth (720MHz) exceeds that required to pass the third harmonic, resulting in exceptionally low signal edge and phase distortion. Excellent channel-to-channel crosstalk performance also minimizes interference. The FSUSB30 includes special circuitry on the D+/D- pins to allow the device to withstand overvoltage conditions when the power is turned off. The device is designed to minimize current consumption even when the control voltage applied to the S pin is lower than the supply voltage (VCC). This feature is especially useful in ultra-portable applications such as cell phones; it provides a direct interface to the general-purpose I/O of the baseband processor. Other applications include switching and interface sharing in mobile cellular phones, PDAs, digital cameras, printers and notebook computers.
